And I can’t think of a way to remove the varnish without wreaking the paint underneath. You can see in some of my older posts if you want to check, I quickshaded only the zombies, everything else is done with ink washes.Īs for fixing it, try what the guy above said, but I don’t think that will work. In fact I wouldn’t recommend using it on the hero’s at all, because even correctly applied, they still look quite dirty, but in a way that looks good on the zombies, but for the heroes, a more subtle regular ink wash gives them shadows without darkening and hiding the details. Looks like you dipped them in and then left them to dry, is that right? As previous commenter said, you got to dab this stuff off with an old brush right after applying, so there’s not too much left on the models.
